This study, coordinated by Dra. Novo and produced by a wide team of environmental specialists, offers an extensive panorama of environmental problems, all of them contemplated from common analysis approaches (systemic models, sustainable development, complex thinking…). Its aim is to facilitate to the academic community the study of the environment, proposing essential principles for the interpretation, analysis and decision-taking which the contemporary environmental problematic requires.

Among the problems which are treated we can found the population increase, water, energy, the food question, deforestation and desertification, pollution, climate and climatic change, the extincion of species, waste, as well as the war and the environmental destruction associated with it.
